Casa Cieno is a house in the Punta Pájaros area, just a 3-minute walk from the beach. It is perfect for those who want a private and quiet place to rest, enjoy the sea and relax. You can enjoy an almost pristine beach and spectacular sunsets. With the pool as the centerpiece of the house, the spaces were designed to enjoy the weather and nature without the need to even go outside.
Designed by Taller de Arquitectura Alberto Calleja (TAC), the house combines inspirations from modern architecture (mid-century modern) and contemporary architecture with a tropical brutalism that has become very characteristic of this Oaxacan coast.
The house is very close to Casa Wabi and other places known for their architecture, such as Hotel Terrestre and Hotel Escondido.

Casa Cieno is located on one of the most exclusive beaches in Mexico, where art and architecture coexist with nature and good food. The area has gained international fame for its concentration of works by prominent architects such as Tadao Ando, Kengo Kuma, OMA/Rem Koolhaas, Álvaro Siza (all Pritzker Prize winners), and important Mexican architects such as Alberto Kalach, Aranzazu de Ariño, S-AR, Ambrossi & Etchegaray, TAC and Gaeta Springall, among others.
